Why did God make viruses?

Please DO NOT give stupid silly answers. This is a serious question.

Viruses are essentially parasites that kill healthy people and animals. What benign purpose could the serve? How was their role played out in the Garden of Eden?

If you are a Christian evolutionist... God uses evolution to create life... so ''they evolved'' is not really an explanation for anything.

whats there to pray about? Report It

I like how some people put that most microorganisms are good for us when in reality out of those microorganism no viruses are good for us which was the topic of the conversation Report It

Looking at this from a religious point of view, why don't you also ask why did G-d make pestilance and poison? All that we suffer from now is caused by our forceful ejection from Paradise. All that we suffer from now, whether it be from viruses, cancers, parasites, or flesh eating disease is because G-d is punishing us for the original sin.

And as long as we are looking at this from a religious standpoint... why do you question His judgement? Don't you Christians believe you have to suffer to get to Paradise?
well he made mosquitos too :) may be to check if we r able to fight the bad things and what way ...
i honestly have no idea why.....i would have to know when the first virus originated, could something have caused it?
Viruses are essentially entities that lack inherent existence, i.e. they arise due to causes and conditions are more rapidly changing than most macro-organisms and impermanent.
