any peer to peer program has viruses, limewire, gnutella, you name it, they got it.

now what you can do to prevent viruses is to know what to look for. for example, the newest hip hop song that hasn't even come out on cd, if you see that on p2p sites, make sure the size matches the file. for example, a song isn't going to be 851kb, a song is going to be 2-10mb. that k and m make a big difference.

also you shouldn't have to unzip an audio file unless it is batched with others. mp3's are about as compressed as they get. and when you do unzip something from an audio file, DON'T RUN ANYTHING.

Viruses are present at any site where you expect to get something for nothing.

Virus writers have obviously worked out that if they can tempt people with something for nothing then that must be a good place to put a virus and it works.

Yesss! I had it for a while nd I had many unknown viruses. Honestly none of those illegal downloading things are safe, itunes is safe but you have to pay for ur music nd that's lame lol so stick to limewire?
