Computer slowed down after viruses?

alrite can some one help me i just hade viruses they are gone now as far as i no but loading up takes ages and my cursor jumps when u drag. my sounds gone all weird even movies jump aswell. i tryed spybot but no change after i dont have a clue how to get it back to normall if some one can help me out it would be a big help cheers

Firstly, try avast! 4 Home Edition's boot scan to make sure there's a virus unable to be removed because the os is loaded. Secondly, try another spyware scan such as Windows Defender (not worth it) and Spyware Terminator. If nothing is detected, then try the following things:

- Defrag your computer using Disk Defragmenter in System Tools (Or Diskeeper 2008)

- Use System Restore to take your system back to BEFORE you had the virus.

- Use CCleaner to delete all the junk files (Like Temp. Internet Files) and clean your registry. (Warning: Not for the faint of heart)

- Uninstall your unneeded/unwanted programs.

- Go to Start %26gt; Run %26gt; and type ''msconfig'' and manage your startup.

- Take a look at your hardware and Virtual Memory. Your hard drive could be having problems. You may not have enough RAM or Virtual Memory. Your CPU could be underpowered. Upgrading hardware can help (upgraded 128 MB to 1 GB, SO much faster)
